WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS

Time:                                         9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Topic:                                      “Rethink Discipline: The Positive Discipline Approach”

We at Blue Bells believe that aware and well equipped teachers enable students in exploring their inner selves and raise emotionally healthy human beings.

We, as facilitators and ideators in the teaching-learning process, often find ourselves caught in a battle between coercion and permissiveness. Use of coercive methods is often justified on the ground that being permissive can lead to indiscipline amongst the students.

An ardent need is to promote positive discipline which is founded on mutual respect and is neither punitive nor permissive. In sync with the same, a workshop for teachers on the topic ‘Rethink Discipline: The Positive Discipline Approach” will be organised on August 25, 2018 (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. as a part of ‘Metamorphosis-Health & Wellness Fiesta-An Inter School Mega Life Skills Event. The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness) Blue Bells Group of Schools and members of Resource Centre team.
