We wish to invite your school to ‘Behes’- Gurgaon Round, a National Level Team Debate Tournament to be held at:
Blue Bells Model School, Sector- 4, Gurugram
20th – 21st July 2019.
The top teams from the event will qualify for the Maha Behes – Finals held at the end of every calendar year.
Every Behes tournament is a celebration of ideas, with students exploring a wide variety of topics and critically examining them. Designed to be interactive and challenging, each tournament rewards the top teams with qualification to the Maha Behes, our national season finale held in the National Capital Region (NCR) every Christmas.
All the debate topics at the events are given impromptu and based on a suggested reading (and viewing) list that is updated every few months. Students explore selections spanning a variety of disciplines in their bid to challenge the best in the debating community.
The free-flowing debate format encourages the growth of research, collaborative and analytical apart from oratory skills. Behes has now made its way into 24 cities in the 2019 season with over four thousand lives impacted, some of them as young as nine years old.

Tournament Fee – Rs. 2100 per team( three members)
Reporting time – 8 am

Your school may send as many teams (of three members each) as they wish in the Cubs (Ages 10-13) and Lions (Ages 14-18) categories.
Please note that these two age groups would be competing separately from each other. The student’s age as on 1st June 2019 is to be considered.
The participant schools (or independent delegations) are requested to send in their registration forms at the earliest (one form per delegation) to book their spots at the tournament. Your spot will be booked once the host school or ‘Behes’ has received the fee.
The participating school should also send a minimum of two teachers to serve as adjudicators for the round. They will receive an adjudicator’s training on Day 1 by experienced members of Behes team.The filledforms can also be sent on Behesbbms@bluebells.org latest by July 16, 2019, along with the payment of Rs. 2100/- per team.

The registration fee for your delegation is payable both by Cheque /DD (one cheque/DD per school) and Net Transfer. In case of NEFT/RTGS/IMPS, please add the name of your school or team a leader in the remarks and attach proof of a transaction with your registration form.
