Some of the major achievements in Inter-School Competitions held in the year 2005.
 

NCC Combined Annual Training Camp - 2005
(Nov. 26th - Dec. 5th, 2005)

 

Blue Bells NCC contingents once again proved their mettle by emerging overall champions and bagging the Best Contingent Award for the sixth  consecutive year.

NCC Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), 2005 was held at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Garhi-Harsaru from 26 November 2005 to 5 December 2005. 650 cadets participated from 25 schools and 10 colleges. 24 cadets and one Associate NCC officer (ANO's) Jitendra Lakhera of Blue Bells Model School participated in this camp. The camp was organized with the purpose of training the cadets in such activities, which generally a civilian is denied of. The Camp comprised of activities like trekking, firing, weapon training, map reading, drill, sports, etc. Cadets of Blue Bells School participated in all activities whole heartedly showing much zeal and fervor. As a Talent Search many educational competitions formed an integral part of the Camp. The school bagged prestigious positions, winning the Overall Champion/Best Contingent Award.

Blue Bells steals the show at Talent Search Competition organized by "AVIRAL"
(Dec. 3rd-4th, 2005)

 

An open competition of Dance and Music was organized by "AVIRAL" at Bal Bhawan Sector-4. Students from many schools and private organizations participated in the competition. Blue Bells stole the show by receiving the Overall Running Trophy and Best Performance School Trophy in the Competition. Talent at its best, was seen in the scintillating performance of our students. Bagging a prize in nearly every category our students made us proud amidst the tough competition.

INTAC applaudes Blue Bells (Nov.26th, 2005)
Venue: 32nd Milestone, Gurgaon

  An inter school dance competition was jointly organized by 32nd Mile Stone and INTAC (Indian National Trust for Arts and Cultural heritage) on the 26th of November. The Chief Guest for the occassion was Smt. Geeta Chandran (Convenor of Intac). The Resource person was Smt. Mamta Sharma (Executive Director, 32nd Milestone) and the judges were  Mrs. Kavita Dwivedi (Renowned Artist of vocal music), Mr. Himanshu Bhattacharya (Music teacher -Father Agnel's School, Delhi) and Mr. Shantanu Jana (Music teacher -  Father Agnel's  School, Delhi).

A number of schools of Gurgaon participated in the competition. Blue Bells was specially applauded for being the only School in the Competition to have performed the dance feats on live music. The judges and the committee of Intac especially commented upon this aspect. Blue Bells received the following seven awards out of the 10 categories of events performed:

Blue Bells lifts First Runners' Trophy at Kalakar 2005 (Nov.19th, 2005)

 
Winners of the Chess Championship
  Blue Bells Model School won the Runners Trophy at Kalakar 2005, an Inter-school Sanskriti competition, held at Amity International School, on November 19, 2005. 20 prestigious schools from Gurgaon participated in the competition . The distinguished judge panel included reputed artists like Sh. Santanu Panda, Pt. N. Kishore Mallik, Sh. Vidushi Satya Bhargava, Sh. L.D. Mahapatra, Smt. Sharon Lowen and Dr. Urmimala Munshi. The four categories of competitions included Group Bhajan, Solo song, Solo dance, Group dance and Group Instrumental. Devetita Bali of Blue Bells Model School bagged the Second prize in Solo Dance. The School lifted the First Runners Trophy for maximum participation in all five events and scoring highest points.
   
   

Blue Bells shines in District Chess Championship (Nov.19th, 2005)

 
Winners of the Chess Championship
  The Gurgaon District Chess Championship was held at Ryan International School on the 18th and 19th of November, 2005. The chief guest for the event was the District Sports Officer. The venue witnessed a legion of avid participants as almost all the prestigious schools of Gurgaon including seven students from Blue Bells participated in the championship. The chess ace Ankit Rampal of class IX of our school did the school proud by bagging the first position leaving all his fellow contestants behind.
   
   

Blue Bells selected for State level Science Quiz competition

  The school quiz team, earlier selected at District level, participated in the Zonal level Science Quiz Competition and got selected at the final stage for the State level Science Quiz competition which will be held in the month of January, 2006 in Chandigarh. Fourteen teams from Faridabad, Gurgaon, Narnaul, Rewari and Mewat District participated in the written Exam conducted by Haryana State Council for Science and Technology. The six teams that qualified participated in the Oral Quiz. Out of these six teams, four teams have been finalized for State Level Science Quiz to be held in the month of January, 2006.

The Quiz Masters of the competition were Dr. Sunil Sharma -Scientific Officer (HSCST, Chandigarh) and Dr. (Mrs.) Sharma - Maths Lecturer (Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh). Mr. Bhoop Singh - Scientific Officer (HSCST) was one of the distinguished guests.

Our team got a lot of appreciation from the audience for showing their excellent performance in this competition.

Blue Bellians Prove their mettle in Inter-School Quiz Competition (Nov. 14th, 2005)

 

The students of the school proved their mettle in the Inter-School Quiz Competition held at Chiranjeev Bharti School on November 14, 2005. The quiz was organised by Indian National Trust of Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). Ms. Mamta Sharma from INTACH was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The most prestigious schools from Gurgaon participated in the Quiz. The Quiz was organised to create an awareness among the students about our heritage and to motivate them for presenting the monuments. The Quiz comprised of a written elimination round and an oral round. There was a neck to neck fight between our school and Amity International School Sector 43. There was a tie between the two schools in the final round with the score of 110. However we could make it to the winners by scoring in the Tie-breaking question.

The School bagged the first position in the Quiz and was awarded the 'Running Trophy'.

The XI Salwan Marathon race, organised by the Athletics Federation of India, was held at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium. It was a tough competition as more than ten thousand students participated from all over India and abroad. The school won  five out of the First 100 positions. The Prize Winners:

Computech Vista (Oct. 26th, 2005)
 

The Computech Vista was organised by Lord Jesus Public School, Gurgaon. 15 schools from all over Gurgaon participated. The judges were Mr. Roop Chand who is an eminent artist working for an NGO, Mr. Yogesh and Mr. Jain , who are both from the field of IT. The competition included:

Createk -a drawing competition in Paint Brush. The topic "Re-look the Technology to spin the Dollars" was given on the spot. 
Cartoon making competition - The topic given on the spot :  "History and Future of computers".
Debate - On the topic  "Information Technology is threat to humanity".

Blue Bells students top in talent Search Examination (Oct. 16th, 2005)
 

Gurgaon Talent Search Exam was conducted for classes IX to XII, by Students Academy on 4th September 2005 in the premises of Dev Samaj Vidya Niketan Public School, Gurgaon. The results  of the exam were declared on 16th October 2005.

CBSE Cluster XIV Table Tennis Tournament (Oct. 7th - Oct. 10th, 2005)

 

The Table Tennis Tournament was held at Guru Dronacharya Public School, Jind. Teams from all over Haryana participated and two of our teams got the positions.   

  • Boys under 19 years: First Position.
  • Girls under 19 years: Third Position.

These teams will play for the National Table Tennis Tournament to be held at DAV Public School, Chandigarh in the month of December 2005.
