Some of the major achievements in Inter-School Competitions held in the year 2007

All India CBSE National Badminton Championship, Indore
(9th December - 13th December, 2007)

 

CBSE organized the All India National Championship in the city of Indore, Gujrat. Besides teams from different parts of India, teams from countries like Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Kuwait, Oman, Dubai, Bahrain, U.A.E. also participated.

Our U-19 Girls team comprised of Aditi Sood, Aakriti Sood, and Shikha Bhargav. They won against quality teams of DPS, Vishakhapatnam, Apeejay School, Delhi and Indian International School Dhaman (Saudi Arabia) which augurs great for the team in their preparation for future championship.

(9th December, 2007)

 

Gurgaon Progressive Schools Council in association with Fashion Studies Department conducted a Jewellery Designing, T-Shirt Designing, Face Painting, & Quiz Contest at Salwan Public School . The jury included NIFT Alumni, Faculty, Head & Chairman of the host school. Our participants received awards in every category.

CHITRANKAN - The Art Festival
(1st December, 2007)

 

Amity International School organised CHITRANKAN - a grand art festival inviting students from number of schools to compete in different formats of painting. The event was divided into 7 categories: Collage, Drawing & painting, Poster making , Hand painting, Mural painting, Installation design , Relief work. The school won a number of prizes in different events.

Extempore, Poster making & Painting Competition
(30th November, 2007)

 

An On-the-Spot Painting and Poster making Competition was organized at Bhavan's Sawan Public School, New Delhi. Principal, Mrs Chandan Dhawan was honored as the Chief Guest on the occasion. 18 schools fought tooth & nail in quest for the trophy and Blue Bells emerged as the final winner.

First Dushant Memorial Open State Taekwondo Championship
(27th-28th November, 2007)

 

Dushant Kumar Memorial Sports Academy, Gurgaon organized the first Dushant Kumar Memorial Open State Taekwondo Championship. A number of prestigious chools participated in the championship. Our participants managed to muster a host of Silver and Bronze Medals.

Blue Bellians Win Accolades At International Convention - Quality Circle
(28th November - 1st December, 2007)

 
Quality Circle
 

The school participated in the 10th International convention on Students Quality Control Circles held at Lucknow. The event was organized by City Montessori School & Degree College under the aegis of QCI International, USA, Quality Circle Forum of India & World Council for Total Quality & excellence in education.

There were around 204 participating teams at the convention from different countries all over the world. The function was inaugurated by the Chief guest Prof. Mary Stuart - Dy. Vice Chancellor Kingston University, UK.

The school participated in Case Study Presentations, Debate, Poster & Slogan making & Collage competitions. Our team bagged the very prestigious "Deming Award" in the case study presentation. Congratulations to the Co-ordinator: Mrs Madhu Gupta & Team Members: - Akriti Gupta, Nikita Tanwar, Aditi Jain, Simran Kaur, Sukrit Sen & Neel Panja.

The case study presentation was highly appreciated by Judges, Participants & audience alike. The judges were so impressed by our presentation that they have invited our Chief coordinator Mrs Madhu Gupta to participate in the next International Convention to be held at Turkey. Director Mrs Suman Gulati & Principal Mrs C. Dhawan congratulated Mrs Gupta & her team for this great achievement.

Science Quiz at Zonal Level
(19th November, 2007)

 
Science Quiz

Haryana State Council of Science &Technology organised a Science quiz at zonal level on 19th November 2007. Our school team bagged the first position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2000/-.

Congratulations to the Team members: Saurabh Ahuja, Ambuj Tandon, Nupur Gupta and Team Co-ordinator: Mrs Madhu Gupta. The team will now be participating at State level in January, 2008.

Inter-School Debate
(15th November, 2007)

 

An Inter school debate was organized at Amity International School. Nine schools across the city vied for the top slot. Our students Akriti Gupta ,Nikita Tanwar, and Naveen Dagar competed superbly by the dint of their irrefutable arguments and achieved the second rank.

All India CBSE Swimming Meet
(30th October - 2nd November, 2007)

 

The All India CBSE Swimming Meet was organized at SDAT Aquatic Complex, Velacherry in Chennai. A number of participants from India as well as the Gulf countries were invited to compete in different levels of the game.

Congratulations Shoan
(October, 2007)

 

Our student Shoan Jain of class VIII was selected as the NTSE scholar in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) conducted by NCERT, in the year 2006-07. Shoan had cleared two written levels in 2006 and one interview level in 2007 successfully.

Her commendable exemplary performance won her rich dividends. She has been awarded a scholarship of Rs 500/- per month till she pursues her education, including graduation and post graduation.

GPSC Inter School Mastermind Science Quiz Class Xth 2007-2008
(24th October, 2007)

 

In an endeavor to enhance and test the knowledge of the students in an exciting and challenging manner a science mastermind quiz was organized at CCA School in the school premises. Col. D.R. Kataria, Chairman, Atul Kataria School, graced the occasion as chief guest. Our school secured the highest rank as a team and was awarded the first position. Our team participants were Leena Kumar and Ankit Mittal of class X. Leena Kumar was the highest scorer in the event and was awarded the "MASTERMIND" title. Blue Bells Public School was awarded the third position.

 

Informatics Guru 2007
(October, 2007)

 

Informatics Guru 2007 was organised by Computer Literacy Foundation earlier this year and the results were declared in October, 2007. The contest was open for Maths and Computer Science faculty. Our teachers Shweta Aggarwal and Rashu Bhatnagar won consolation prizes in the contest.

Moments of sheer jubilation arrived when our students Puneet Yadav , Shalu Kataria, Tapasya Yadav, and Kunal Thakran marked their dominance in the VII District Swimming Championship held at Kamla Nehru Park Swimming Pool, Gurgaon. Around 300 swimmers across the district were

CBSE CLUSTER XIV TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP 2007-08
(26th-29th September, 2007)

 

The CBSE Cluster XIV Table Tennis Championship 2007-08 was held in O.P. Jindal Modern School, Hissar from 26th to 29th Sept, 2007. 54 CBSE Cluster XIV schools of Haryana vied for the championship. Three teams from Blue Bells viz, U-19 ( Boys), U-19 (Girls), and U-14 (Girls) represented the school in the Championship.

Our U-19 (Girls ) Team bagged the FIRST RUNNER UP prize

The Haryana Womens Sports Festival was organized by Haryana Sports Department at Panchkula. It was open for women of all age groups. . Among the senior & junior swimmers of Haryana, our student Tapasya Yadav participated in three events: 200 Mts. Free Style, 200 Mts. Back Stroke and 200 Mts. Individual Medley. She won gold medals in all of them. She has been selected to participate in All India Women Sports Festival to be held at Mumbai in the mid of November, 2007 She won the first position and a cash prize in each of the three events

Blue Bells wins "Excellent Award" in Third Inter School Quality Circles Convention

The school participated in the third Student's Quality Circles Convention held at Hero Honda Motors plant organised by Quality Circle Forum of India, Delhi Chapter.

Under the expert guidance of Mrs Madhu Gupta, Chief Coordinator of Quality Circles the team of six students participated in this convention.

Lt. Gen Z.U. Shah, Deputy Chief of Army, and Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Vice President of Hero Honda Motors Ltd. and Vice Chairman of QCFI- Delhi chapter, performed the inaugural ceremony.

Blue Bells team of "Hi- fliers" bagged "Excellent Award" in their case study presentation and were applauded and appreciated by the Judges, audience and other delegates participating in the convention. The members of the team were: Leader - Akriti Gupta, Deputy leader - Nikita Tanwar and Other members: Aditi Jain, Simran Kaur, Neel Panja, and Sukrit Sen.

In the debate competition, Akriti Gupta bagged First Prize. Valedictory function was headed by Chief Guest, Maj. Ahluwalia, Padamashree and Arjuna Awardee and Mr. Yogesh Munjal, Founder Chairman of QCFI- Delhi chapter.

Mrs. Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools and Mrs. Chandan Dhawan, Principal of the school appreciated and congratulated the winning team.

 

Inter-School Quiz
(15th August, 2007)

 

An Inter School Quiz competition was organized at Ansal's Chiranjiv Bharti School, Sushant Lok. Mr J.S. Anand (Retd. Officer) from Income Tax Department was invited as Chief Guest.

Rahul Verma and Suchita Banthia represented the school and bagged the third position after a close contest.

Shalu Kataria captures Bronze Medal
State Swiming Championship
(11th - 12th August, 2007)

 

Haryana Swimming Association organized the State Swimming Championship in Rohtak . Haryana Sports Department adjudicated the Championship. Our student Shalu Kataria registered her presence in 200 m Breast stroke category by acquiring a Bronze medal in the Championship.

(8th August, 2007)

 

As a tribute to our former Prime Minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, the District Education Department organized a painting competition titled - "Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas Painting Competition". The Topic was just relevant Urja Ke Shrot. The venue for the event was Jiwan Jyoti Public School, Gurgaon and around 16 schools participated.

In the fierce contest our student Manu Tiwari of class XII did justice to her selection and clinched the First Prize

First Bharat Club Open State Taekwondo Championship was organized by Bharat Club at Geeta Bhawan, Gurgaon. Our participants Hardik, Abhinav, Arushi and Purvi put up a good show and won Bronze Medals in different categories.

Our student Shoan Jain achieved the 10th rank in the National Level Science Talent Search Examination 2006-07 held in January 2007 conducted by Unified Council. The brilliant student’s performance was par excellence. Her effort bore fruit in the form of the following Prizes:

Inter-School English Debate
(3rd August, 2007)

 

An Inter School Debate was held at Raman Munjal Vidya Mandir, Gurgaon. The Jury Panel comprised of elite college lecturers and the topic for the debate was “IS GANDHI RELEVANT IN TODAY’S WORLD”. In the closely fought contest Jitesh Jhamb clinched the best interjector prize dint of his tricky and concrete questions. Nikita Tanwar who spoke against the motion bagged the second Prize by virtue of her irrefutable arguments.

 

Inter-School Skating Chamionship
(28th - 29th July, 2007)

 

An inter school Skating Championship was held in the premises of Blue Bells Public School, Gurgaon. The event was organized by Indian Roller Sports Club, Gurgaon. Honorable Director, Madam Suman Gulati inaugurated the competition as Chief Guest. Our Students made us feel proud by exhibiting their talent and winning prizes in each age group.

Continuing their winning streak Blue Bellians once again stole the show with their dazzling performance in the District Tournament held at Govt. Sr. Sec. School Gurgaon. The event was organized by District Education Office under the able guidance of Mr Rajinder Singh. A number of CBSE affiliated schools from Gurgaon participated in the tournament.

District Chess Championship
(20th - 22nd July, 2007)

  District Chess Association, Gurgaon organized the District Chess Championship at Chiranjiv Bharti School. 311 students from 24 schools contested for the championship in the presence of Mr. Naresh Sharma and Mr Sanjay Chabbra as Jury Members. Our two students Tarun Grover and Akshay Rawal showed a lot of promise and commitment by clinching the IIIrd rank ( under 13 years ) and IInd rank ( under 11 years ) respectively.

Earth Day Celebration

Shrey Arora won the second prize in English Recitation

An Inter – School Competition was organized to commemorate ‘Earth Day’ by the Art n’ Literary Department of Delhi Public School, Gurgaon. The events organised were: English Recitation, Group Song, Collage Making and Best out of waste competitions.

Shrey Arora of class III of our school, won the second Prize in English Recitation Competition. He was appreciated by the judges for his performance.

(5th-6th May, 2007)

  KALA UTSAV’ - a ‘Singing and Dancing competition’ was organised by Suruchi Kala Pariwar at Bal Bhavan, Gurgaon. A number of competitions were held under the different categories. Participants from Blue Bells won many laurels for the school.

  • Dinita Bali of class 9 was awarded the 2nd Prize in Senior Group Solo Dance Competition.
  • Pratishtha of class 4 won the 2nd Prize and Swarnima of class 4 won the 3rd Prize in Junior Group Solo Dance Competition.
  • The prestigious title of Surbala was awarded to Sonali Bhaskar. She won the 1st Prize in Solo Bhajan, Patriotic Song and Folk Song Competitions.
 

Russian Childrens' Protection Day
(3rd May, 2007)

 

An extempore, painting, and folk dance competition was organized by Nehru Bal Samiti, in connection with Russian Childrens’ protection day. It was held at Russian Centre of Science and culture, New Delhi. The panel adjudicated the contest comprised of Mr. Roop Chand Ji, Mr. J.P. Aggarwal ( Rajya Sabha M.P.) and Mr. S.P.Govil. Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Inter-School Debate
(20th April, 2007)

 

Chiranjiv Bharti School organized the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Inter – School Debate Competition on April 20th. The topic for the debate was ‘Media Needs Introspection Before Exposure’. The competition was tough as fifteen schools from different states participated. Mr. Aditya Awasthi, a renowned journalist and Mr. Rajeev Mehra (son of late Sh. J.K.Mehra) were the judges. Our student Nupur Gupta of class XII and Aakriti Gupta of class X expressed their views for and against the motion, respectively.

Nupur Gupta bagged the third prize for the ‘Best Speaker’.

(Held on 30th November, 2006)

Winners - 9th Science Olympiad

The 9th National Science Olympiad was held on 23rd November, 2006. Our students from different classes participated in this competition. Mrs. Madhu Gupta – Chief coordinator of the science activities has been awarded an appreciation certificate for her valuable services rendered towards the Science Olympiad Foundation during the 9th National Science Olympiad as school NSO Incharge. Seven of our participants have been awarded medals and merit certificates.

Inter - School Debate Competition
(19-20 April, 2007)

 

An Inter – School Hindi debate competition was organized by SRI RAM SCHOOL on 19th and 20th April. A number of prestigious schools participated in the Junior and Senior categories.

Our school won the overall third position in the Junior category and Overall second position in the Junior category. Nikita Tanwar won the third position in the Senior category.

The participants in the Junior group were: Kriti Arora, Charvi Gupta and Ananya Sharma. Participants in the Senior group were: Nikita Tanwar, Aditi Jain and Simran Kaur.

 

Congratulations Preeti

The Welfare Department of Haryana started a scholarship for the meritorious students in the year 2006. Our student Preeti Dahiya has received a scholarship of Rs. 10,000 on the basis of her merit in class X – Board exams through Dr. Kripa Ram Punia (Retd. IAS) President, Janhiy Sewa Sansthan (a social organization). The school management and staff congratulate this young, bright girl on her achievement.

 

National Graphics Championship 2006

 

The school participated in the National Graphics Championship 2006 and won awards for the outstanding projects in all three categories. The National Graphics Championship is conducted by Silverzone annually, on an All India level. The projects for 2006 were based on topics of Science and Technology. The projects were made under the able guidance of - Ms. Shweta Aggarwal, Ms. Bhawna Aggarwal, Ms. Geeta Rajpal & Ms. Kanika Gugnani.

Talent Search Institute Olympiad
(January, 2007)

  The Talent search institute Maths Olympiad and G.K.Competition 2006 was conducted by Talent search institute of Meerut in September ’06. About 260 schools participated from all over India. The results were declared in the month of January’ 07 . 23 students from Blue Bells received prizes in Maths and 10 students won prizes for high ranks at the all India level.

ASSET Winter 2006
(January, 2007)

  The Asset winter 2006 test was conducted by Educational Initiative from 4th to 7th December ’06. The test was based on Maths, English, Science, SST and Hindi. The Results were declared on Jan 25th, 2007. Some of our achievers who have shown remarkable performance: Arustup Garai, Ayan Khan, Abhishek Sharma, Salil K. Lalit.

All India Open (Prize Money) Table Tennis Tournament was held at DDA Sports Complex, Vasant Kunj from 23rd jan to 27th jan. Our team performed extremely well in the event.

Puneet Yadav of class XII bagged the Gold Medal alongwith the Trophy and a Cash Prize of Rs.2000/-. Shikha Garg of class VIII won the Second Prize (cash prize of Rs.1000/-) and Shweta of class VII won the Third prize (cash prize of Rs.500/-).

Sheetal Raghav's  essay on the topic 'Globalisation and Changing opportunities for Indian Youth' has been shortlisted as one of the top entries in the Essay writing competition which comprised the first level for participation in the NDTV Talk-Show telecast nationally. Sheetal along with her partner Nupur Gupta will now participate in the Debate Competition on Jan 22,2007.  These participants have been selected for the NDTV talk Show and shall be participating as per the programme schedule.
 

On the Spot Painting Competition

On the Spot Painting Competition was organized by Bhawan Sawan Public School on 11th January’07. Fifteen schools from Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad participated in the event. The school bagged 8 out of the 16 prizes. Blue Bells won the Overall Trophy for the Fifth consecutive year. Eight out of our ten participants won the following awards:
