competition

The
first ever inter-school music competition
was organized by Satyayug Darshan
Sangeet Kala Kendra. The occasion
was graced by Shri Gopichand Gahlot.(Chief
Guest) and was judged by professor
Somnath, Shrimati Padma Sampat and
Sri Vinod Saxena. Almost all reputed
schools of Gurgaon participated.
The school bagged
the second prize in group dance and
first prize in Group patriotic song
competition.
Swarnima R. Burande of class V
from our school stood first in the
solo dance competition.
In the junior category, Rangoli
Jain bagged the first prize
in Solo vocal and Gauri Verma
bagged the second prize in
Solo bhajan competition.
In Senior category, Sonali
Bhaskar won the first prize
in Solo Bhajan Competition.

MNRE National Quiz
Contest

Sri Adhikari
Brothers Television Network Ltd. in
association with the "Ministry of New
& Renewable energy" organised a quiz
show on new & renewable energy in which
our school participated. Two of our
participants, Gaurav Ahuja & Leena Kumar
have been selected for the Semi-Final
Stage of the MNRE quiz programme. Out
of the two , one short listed would
go to Mumbai for the televised state,
representing our region. Director Mrs.
Suman Gulati and Principal, Mrs. C.Dhawan
congratulated Gaurav Ahuja, Leena Kumar
& Mrs. Madhu Gupta (Coordinator) for
achieving this success in the prestigious
competition. |

Intra School Badminton Championship
was held on 19th December at Heritage
School, Gurgaon. The occasion was graced
by Mr. Rajiv( Commissioner Municipal
Corporation), Mr. S.K. Jatrana & Mr.
Mahesh Kumar (General Secretary Gurgaon
Badminton Association). The event witnessed
participation from many schools. The
under-19 girls team from Blue Bells
who outshined all and won the first
position. Aditi Sood (Class XII)
and Aakriti Sood (Class XI) won
the competition gracefully and with
much ease. |

Nineteen students have
qualified for 2nd level of
the test.

Olympiad ( first round) conducted
on 21st Aug. 2008 witnessed
a participation of 175 students.
The result was declared on
22nd Nov.2008. It was a moment
of pride with our students

The programme was featured
under
"Guiness Book of World
Records"
|
BrahmNaad was the first symphony
in the world where 1000 sitarist
performed in India from different
states and abroad. It was
a mega event and "Blue Bells
Model Sr. Sec. School" was
the only school from Gurgaon
from which eleven students
performed along with Mr. Navendra
Nath Das (M.A.-Vishwa Bharti)
and Mr. Bijit Dutta(M.A. from
Rabindra Bharti University).
The event was graced by eminent
persons like Shri Ravi Shankar
(Chief of Art of Living),
Guest of Honour - Pandit Shiv
Kumar Sharma( World Renowned
Santoor Maestro) and Pandit
Hariprasad Chaurasia(World
Renowned Flute Maestro). It
was a pleasuresome experience

Quality Circle Convention

The
Fourth students' Quality circle convention
-2008 was organized by QCFI, Delhi
chapter at Hero Honda Plant, Gurgaon.
Various schools of Gurgaon participated
in events like Case study presentations,
Debate competition and Poster and
Slogan contest. The 4th SQCC commenced
with the lamp lighting by Honorable
chief guest - Lt.General R.K.Gaur,
Foremen DG Infanty, followed by a
salutation to Goddess Saraswati.
Blue Bells received the "Excellent
Award " in Case Study Presentations.
It was highly appreciated by the chief
guest and judges and by the audience
with lots of applauds. The team comprised
of Simran Kaur, Nikita Tanwar, Aditi
Jain, Sukrit Sen. Sajal Bansal and
Harshit Verma. Mrs. Madhu Gupta was
the facilitator and co-ordinator for
the team. In the debate Simran Kaur
of class XI bagged the second prize.
Our team comprising of Rahul Sen Gupta
and Hemant Kaushik won the first prize
in Poster and Slogan contest.
Director Mrs. Suman Gulati and Principal
Mrs. Dhawan congratulated all the
winners and chief coordinator of quality
circles - Mrs. Madhu Gupta and highly
appreciated their efforts and success.

"Tarang" musical competition
held at Bal Bhawan.
The school bagged the First
Prize in the group song category.

"KHOJ", An International
Science Festival was held
at DAV School, Gurgaon and
organized by DAV center for
creative education, New panvel,
Navi Mumbai. 300 participants
from different places in India
and a team from the U.S. participated
in the event. The event was
inaugurated by Shri Kapil
Sibbal Union minister for
Science and Technology and
Earth Sciences and the chief
guest for the valedictory
ceremony was Dr. Y.S.Rajan.
Other eminent guests were
Dr. G.D. Chopra, Dr.K.D.Kushal,
Mr.Prabhodh Mahajan, Dr.Usha
Nalai and Dr.Mittal. The event
was judged by the renounced
scientists from Delhi and
Bombay.

Our school participated in various
events under all four categories
of students - Primes, Junior, Sub
Senior and Senior.
First prize in Elocution was won
by Simran Kaur ( Class XI) in the
Senior group on the topic computer-The
craze and the need of age. Simran
also won the second prize in Essay
writing competition .The topic for
the same was "Computerized world"
\The championship trophy for the
senior category competitions including
project on Biotechnology with the
topic stem cells, myths & relatives,
Science quiz, Essay writing and
Elocution was bagged by our school
for securing maximum number of prizes.
The eye catching biotech project
from our school, presented by Anupama
Sabu was appreciated by the visiting
spectators, media and the photograph
was published in "The Times of India"
NIE Edition of 2nd Oct.2008.

26 medals in the Swimming
Championship organized by
Gurgaon District Swimming
Association at Kamla Nehru
Swimming Pool, Gurgaon. Blue
Bellian Shalu Kataria won
5 Gold and 4 Silver Medals.
In another competition held
at Rothak, organized by Haryana
State Open Swimming Championship
on September 20 and 21, 2008,
Shalu Kataria won 4 Gold,
1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal.

31 schools from Delhi and
NCR participated in the 18th
Rajasthani folk dance competition-2008,
held at Kamani auditorium
on 20th September 2008 under
the aegis of Rajasthani academy.
The programme was graced by
the presence of Shri.Santosh
Bagolona and Shri Ramnivas
Lakhotia [President-Rajasthani
academy]. Out of 31 schools
Blue Bells bagged the third
prize. The dance performance
was appreciated by the judges
and the audience.

An inter-school elocution competition
was held at Shalom Hills international
school. 13 reputed schools of Gurgaon
participated in the event. Students
from primary wing of Blue Bells outshined
the rest and won various laurels.
The participants were trained under
the expert guidance of Mrs. Kalpana
Rao, Mrs. Promita and Mrs. Tripti.
Radhika Sharma of class V, Urvi Chaudhary
of class IV and Yashika of class III
gave outstanding performances.
Blue Bells stood
first and bagged the overall trophy.
The participants were highly appreciated
by the eminent judges. |

Six of our students participated
in the District open Badminton
championship organized by
District Badminton Association
from 28th August to 31 st
august 2008 at Dronacharya
Govt. College, Gurgaon. Out
of the 200 participants from
various schools like Amity
International, Chiranjiv Bharti,
Summerfeilds and others, Aditi
Sood (Class XII) of Blue Bells
bagged the 1st position in
Girls under 19 category.

Science Exhibition

Blue Bellians have once again
glorified the name of the
the school with their outstanding
performance at the Regional
Level CBSE exhibition held
at D.A.V centenary public
school, Panipat. 115 schools
of Haryana participated displaying
a total of 250 scientific
models on six prescribed topics.
The event headed by 'J.P.Shoer'
Director-D.A.V group of schools
was gaced by eminent judges
Dr. Anupam Arora, Dr. Ajay
, Dr. Geetanjali and other
experts from the field. Only
18 out of 115 exhibits were
selected and our school project
won over all by selection
for the National level exhibition,
and was greatly appreciated
by all eminent personalities
present.

project on Energy Resources by Blue
Bells presented by Gaurav Ahuja, Simran
kaur and Aditi Jain under the guidance
of Mr. B.K. Sharma (PGT-Physics) showed
a new way to conservation of energy
transmitted from the screen of computer
and Television directly to earth which
could be used for charging of mobile
phones. Blue Bells was also appreciated
for another project on Biotechnology
stem cells - Myths and Realities prepared
under the guidance of Mrs. Chavi.

Championship

Blue Bellians once again proved their
mettle by carving a niche for themselves
in the recent Championship games organized
by District Haryana Board, held at
Govt. Sr. Sec school and Amity International
School. The championship comprised
of various events of which the school
participated in table tennis , yoga
and skating under different age groups
. The participants faced tough competition,
but in the end, came to the top and
acquired first, second and third positions
in table tennis in true Blue Bellian
spirit . Four of our stars Prateek
bist, Vivek, Pulkit and Lalit were
selected to represent as Haryana team
at the state level in yoga .In skating,
Chanchal Tripati, Lakshay, Yash Anand,
Vikas, Durvesh, Aditya solanki and
Astha were selected to represent the
state level. In table tennis two of
our girls have been selected for State
Championship. |

The inter school on-the-spot
Painting competition held
in Rotary Public School witnessed
a participation of 29 schools
from all over Gurgaon. The
participants were divided
into three groups and were
judged by eminent artists
Mr. Roop chand and Mrs. Nalini
Bhargava.
Our participants bagged
the following prizes: Ayush
Kr Pal (class VIII) - first
prize, Karan Madan (class
III) - second Prize, Jitiksh
Vashish (class VII) - third
prize. The students were overwhelmed
with the appreciation they
received.

Development Programme held
from 23rdMay to 29th May at
Brahma kumaris Institute,
Mount Abu. Around 3000 Children
from all over India and Nepal
participated. She was highly
appreciated and bagged the
first prize in story competition
and second prize in speech
competition.

Science Olympiad Foundation conducted
the International Mathematics Olympiad
at more than 1900 centers in India
and abroad on 31stJanuary 2008. The
results were declared on 25th April
'08. Our students from classes III
- X participated in the Olympiad &
performed excellently. The Olympiad
was held to test number skills, computation
skills, fractions, patterns, geometry,
measurement and data analysis. 52
Students received certificates for
their distinctive performance.

won the First Prize in Poster making.

Blue Bellian Cadets capture the
prestigious award instituted by Sahara
Group of India for the sixth consecutive
year
Sahara Group of India in association
with Director General of NCC conducted
the famous Sahara Scholarship Exam.
Two NCC Cadets from each NCC Unit
of Haryana participated. Blue Bellians,
Saurabh Ahuja and Sachin
Muskeen represented 5 Haryana
Battalion NCC Gurgaon and made us
proud by winning the Sahara Scholarship
Award with a cash prize of Rs 6000/-
for the year 2005 and 2006 respectively.
