A student of Blue Bells Model School, Kostav Majumdar, has won laurels for Gurgaon as well as for his school by scoring maximuam marks in CBSE’s Chandigarh region region. He scored 98.4 per cent and now wants to become a neurosurgeon. Kostav scored 100 out of 100in mathematics and science subjects while 98 in English and Sanskrit, and 96 in Social Studies.

Silver Jubilee

THE BLUE BELLS group of schools, Gurgaon that has entered into its silver jubilee year began celebrations with “Regalia 2005”, the annual day and prize distribution function of its kindergarten branch- The Blue Bells preparatory school.
Dharamvir Gauba, MLA was the chief guest, while Sarala Gauba was the guest of honour. Tha little ones of the school invoked Saraswati the goddess of learning, with a rhythmic dance. The chief guest awarded the participants of various programmes. The Headmistress, Mrs. Anu Sehgal, read out the annual report, including the achievements of the students in various competitions.

Blue Bells kids get tips on careers options

BLUE BELLS Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-4, organised a career counselling session by the career counselors Usha Albuquerque and Asha Nayar. The session was attended by parents and students of classes X and XII. Usha Albuquerque advised the students to choose their career sensibly after judging their potential and skills. This will help them work towards their goals effectively. She took an instance from the movie Lagaan and adviced students to start with the ‘End’. Counsellors devoted a lot of time to streams like PCM, PCB, commerce and the career options available. New fields like nano-technology, astro – Physics, Para-medical services, web designing, graphics were also dealt in detail.

Blue Bells bags the winner's trophy

OVER 125 students from all over the city participated in the Hero Cycle Talent Search at Blue Bells Model Senior Secondary School. Blue Bells made a clean sweep by bagging the maximum number of prizes. In another talent search, organised by the Suruchi Kala Sahitya Parivar at Bal Bhawan Sec 4, Blue Bells was once again the winner with the maximum tally of prizes. Blue Bells was awarded the overall winner trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 1,100..

Geo fest at Blue Bells School

UNDER THE ageis of Gurgaon Progressive School Council, Blue Bells Model Senior Secondary School, Gurgaon, organized Geo-Fest in association with HT PACE.

The aim of the fest was to spread awareness on geological issues and bringing back into focus, the problems faced by the Mother Earth. Various schools from Gurgaon participated in the event. The day commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by an exhibition on working and non-working models on the theme, “Man’s Achievements on Earth”. The models depicted various issues such as water-conventional sources of energy, geo-thermal energy.

A debate was also organized on the topics, Nature’s existence is our existence and Man is justified in exploiting nature. Tavdu Govt. College principal Anita Makkar, Govt. College’s Geography Department HOD Dr Diwakar, SCERT’s ET cell subject specialist Sarita, adjudged the event.

Gyan Devi Public School, Gurgaon secured the first position in non-working model making and Blue Bells Model Sr Secondary School clinched the first position in working model making.

Going International

BLUE BELLS MODEL SR SECONDARY SCHOOL, participated and bagged the second proze at the Seventh International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles, 2004 in Dhaka recently.

A team of six students – Kirti Kataria, Sasha Sharma, Nupur Gupta, Anshita Sayal, Chhavi Bhardwaj and Adhaar Kaul – participated at this international event with their case study presentation, The Tempest.

Students from Mauritius, and Bangladesh, participated in this convention. Around 35 teams from different countries participated in this convention.

Many other competitions were also held in this international convention. One important section was the poster and slogan writing competition and here the Blue Bells School team of Nupur Gupta and Ashita Sayal bagged the first prize.

Bangladesh state minister for education Ehansual Haque Milon was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of this convention.

Gurgaon boy top scores with 98.4%

Gurgaon: With the class 12 results out, it's now time for Class 10 students in Delhi to grit their teeth and wait for their scores. However, with the results for the Chandigarh region being anounced on Monday, Class 10 students there can finally heave a sigh of relief.

Says Kaustav Majumdar, the region's tooper with 98.4% aggregate: "I am very happy with my marks and I attribute my success to my parents, school and coaching institute."

The elated student from Bluebells Senior Secondary Model School in Gurgaon's Sector IV says he studied for about six-seven hours every day. The maximum effort he put in was for social studies where he scored 96%. "I plan to celebrate my success with my friends but I don't think there will be any party." Majumdar plans to pursue medicine now.

Just as delighted was Gangandeep Talwar, the second highest scorer in the school.

"I am on cloud nine and my marks are all due to the tireless efforts of my parents and teachers," he says happily. With a score of 96.4%, Talwar is also eager to become a doctor. "I used to get up at 4 pm and study for about two hours before going to school. In the evening, I studied for another four-five hours." he says.

According to C Dhawan, principal of Blubells Senior Secondary Model School, the satisfaction is overwhelming. "I am very proud of my students. A lot of my students have scored above 90%." said Dhawan.
