Silver
Jubilee
Perizaad
Zorabian and Blue
Bells
School,
Gurgaon, in their silver jubilee,
came together to teach an important
lesson to the school children. Charity
begins at school and no age is too
young to put back into society a little
bit of what you got out of it. Prerizaad
Zorabian came in specially from Mumbai
for a charity close to her heart.
Silver Jubilee Carnival is being held
in support of the centre called 'Blessings
of the Khushboo Welfare Society, set
up under the supervision of The Spastic
Society of India. The Blue Bells Group
of Schools is based on the value system
of their founder principal and director
Suman Gulati.
The
institution has never given in to
the temptation of donations and has
fiercely resisted favouritism and
nepotism. It has also taken up the
cause of mentally and physically challenged
children and the under privileged
living in slums through their Savera
and Ujala programmes. The Silver Jubilee
Carnival is consistent with similar
initiatives in the past. 'Razzmatazz
1995' was hosted for the Spastic Society
of India while 'Bindas Basant' was
for NGO for special children. The
children of 'The Spastic Society of
India' have been invited to stage
plays in schools.

role model for school children being
a Mumbai University topper and an MBA from USA. Her mother taught at a spastic school and the cause
of these children has been very close
to her heart since she was a child.
Good education, according to her,
is the best think that parents can
give their children. "Instead of being
prescriptive and suffocating the child
with too many do's and don'ts, parents
should give the children the right
values, have trust in them and let
them do and become what they want
to", she said.

Cartoon
channels give impetus to violence among
children
CARTOON CHANNELS are said to
be the greatest entertainers for the
children. But they affect the basic
instincts of a child as they are woven
around the theme of mystery, suspense
and thrill. They exhibit a character
larger than life and may also include
several scenes of bloodshed. All this
has a negative impact on a child.
So it is right to say that cartoon
channels given impetus to violence
among children.
