Republic Day Celebration at Blue Bells
Cultural programme added colour to the Republic Day celebration held at Blue Bells Model school,Sector-4. The programme started with a group song and a prize winning melody by Abdul Samad Khan. Ruhani Seth of Class X A and Radhika of Class VII B threw light on the recent strides of development in India. Titiksha Vashisth of Class X A presented a poatriotic poem, conveying the essence of Republic Day. The programme was beautifully conducted by comperes Titiksha, Ishita and Ishaan. The students presented mesmerizing folk and western dance performances, having a strong patriotic flavor. The Chief Guest, Dr.Alka Saxena, Consultant, Healthcare & Awareness,Blue Bells Group of Schools,Gurgaon, hoisted the tricolor.

Pedicon 2012 Workshop At Blue Bells Public School
Blue Bells Public School organized a workshop called ‘PEDICON 2012’ to orient the Paediatricians on life skill education for school children, The workshop , that was taken by Dr.Swati Bhave, Adolescent & Healthcare Expert, saw active participation by students. They were taught about life skills using lecture and interactive discussion. The students shared their concerns on various issues like self-esteem, self-awareness and effective communication. Winning Laurels
Suruchi Sahitya Kala Parivar organized Kala Utsav 2011 at Bal Bhavan,Sector-4. The students of Blue bells Model School, Sector-4,Gurgaon, lifted the overall trophy after a tough fight with many prestigious schools across Gurgaon. They scored maximum points in various competitions like folk and patriotic song, both group and soslo competitions besides painting competition. Abdul Samad earned the title of Surkumar from the judges.The Chief Guest, Rao Narender Singh, Haryana Health Minister, gave the overall trophy. N. Debate Competition at Blue Bells
Times-NIE, in association with Blue Bells Group of Schools,Gurgaon organized a two-day debate competition for the schools of Gurgaon,Dwarka and South Delhi on December 20 and 21. The event saw participation of 32 schools across the regions. The preliminary round for the schools of Gurgaon was conducted at Blue Bells Public schools,Sec-10,Gurgaon. Dr.Alka Saxena,Consultant,Healthcare & Awareness and Soumya Gulati,Academic Co-ordinator,Blue Bells Group of Schools,Gurgaonwere the chief guests of the event.The topic for elimination round was ‘Reality Shows-A mockery of emotions’. Nine teams qualified for the final round which was held on December 21. On day two, Suman Gulati,Director,Blue Bells Group of Schools,Gurgaon, presided as the chief guest. Rakesh Sharma, market sales representative, BSA Cycle and Sudeep Dagar, from Adventure Island were also present. The pivotal point of the debate was ‘Lokpal Bill- Wanted or Imposed’. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools,Gurgaon, appreciated the vision and confidence of the participants in handling these contemporary issues. The winner speaker ‘ For the motion’ on implementation of Lokpal Vill was Shreya Singh, Sherwood Convent School whereas Radhika Gupta of Blue Bells Model School won the fight ‘against the motion’. The first runner up ‘for’ and ‘against’ the motion were Titiksha from Blue Bells Model School and Shivangi from N K Bagrodia School, Dwarka respectively. Ruchika Yadav of Ryan International Sohna Road was declared the ‘Best Interjector’ and prize for the best team went to Blue Bells Model School,Sec.-4, Gurgaon. The prizes were sponsored by Green partner,BSA Hercules cycle and Adventure Island.

Top Quality Presentation
Blue Bells Model School,Sector-4, participated in the 14th International Convention on Students’ Quality Control Circles 2011 (ISCQCC). The event was held at City Montessori School & Degree College, Lucknow and had 134 participating teams from several countries. Blue Bells won the First Consolation prize in Case Study Presentation that was given by the chief Guest Mr. Mahiepala Herath, Chief Minister of Sabaragamvwa Province of Sri Lanka.

Annual Day
Blue Bells Model School,Sector-4, Gurgaon, celebrated Parinirvana, the annual day com prize distribution function. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Suresh Pachouri, Chairman, Research and Co-ordination department ,AICC, while the Guest of Honour was R. N. Nayak, Chairman and Managing Director ,Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Mahesh Chandra, Chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools, B. D. Gulati, Founder Chairperson, Suman Gulati, Director, Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman and members of the Managing Committee graced the occasion. The function began with ceremonial diya lighting by the guests. A beautiful dance drama by the primary wing was the main highlight. It highlighted Buddha’s journey to salvation. The orchestra presentation with chanting mantras was wonderful. N. Bhatti, the Principal, read out the annual report. To motivate meritorious students, they were given prizes by the Chief Guest.

Flower Power On Founder’s Day
Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, celebrated its 31st Founder’s Day last Thursday. The event was flagged off with a havan ceremony. Director of Blue Bells Group of Schools, Suman Gulati, along with teachers and students, offered prayers. The highlight of the day was the flower decoration competition. The competition saw exquisite flower arrangements, set in elegant patterns. While Junior students displayed their aesthetic skills by taking part in flower decoration ceremony. Students of Classes VI to VIII made informative paintings on ‘Blood Donation’. These paintings were put on public display in the HUDA Sector-4 market.

Grandparent’ Day Celebrated At Blue Bells
Blue Bells mOdel School,Sector-4,Gurgaon, celebrated Grandparent’s Day on October 1. Students of Primary wing of the school along with their teachers managed the events of the day in a graceful way. School Principal, N. Bhatti, lighted the ceremonial diya. ‘Parivartit Pratibimb’ (Changing Reflection) a movie made by students of the school’s Adolescent Education Program was shown to the guests. A group song was presented by the tiny tots followed by ‘ Naughty Chit Chats’. The grandparents participated in the various activities organized . Suman Gulati ,Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, graced the occasion with her benign presence. All the guests were given mementos.

Blue Bells Shines in CBSE Debate Competition
Kirti Arora and Ashneet Kaur Nanda of Blue Bells Model School,Sector-4, Gurgaon emerged regional winners in a debate competition organized by CBSE Panchkula region. In a keenly fought contest, the blue Bells duo beat St.John School,Chandigarh. The topic of the debate competition was- ‘Need for Lokpal Bill, when there are provisions for checks and balances in the constitutions’. With this win, Blue Bells qualifies for the national-level debate competition which will be held in New Delhi during the second week of November. While congratulating the students for bringing laurels to their alma mater, Principal of Blue Bells Model School, Mrs. N.Bhatti said, ‘I am immensely proud to have students like Kirti and Ashneet who always make Blue Bells proud.’ Regional Officer of CBSE, R.J.KHANDERAO GAVE AWAY THE TROPHIES TO THE WINNERS. A team of five students from the medical stream of Class XI of Blue Bells Model School, took part in a Brain Awareness Camp organized by the Department of Zoology,Government College, Sector-14. The students showcased a model on the Autoimmune Neuromuscular Disorder-Myasthenia Gravis. The team got a cash prize of Rs. 3,100 for the model, charts and power-point presentation. Swimming Stars of Blue Bells
The Gurgaon district swimming championship 2011 was held in Kamla Nehru Park. Nearly 250 students took part in the competition. Shalu Kataria, a Class 10 student of Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4,Gurgaon, bagged seven gold medals and lifted overall trophy in her age group while Kunal Thakran, a Class 7 student, bagged six golds and snatched the overall trophy in his age group. Priyank Thakran, a Class 6 student, won one gold, two silvers and one bronze medal. The prizes were given by Sukhbir Kataria, minister of state for agriculture and co-operative department. Shalu Kataria and Kunal Thakran also brought home many medals in the Haryana government schools state swimming championship held at Sirsa. While Kunal brought four gold medals. Shalu brought three silvers and one bronze. Mrs. N. Bhatti Principal, congratulated the ace swimmers for bringing laurels to their alma mater.

Blue Bells Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-4,Gurgaon, participated in the ‘Dance Ka Talent’, organized by Manav Kalyan Trust at Bal Bhavan,Gurgaon. The competition attracted many dancers across Gurgaon. In group dance, of age group 7-15, Blue Bellians clinched the coveted first prize as well as the second prize. Investiture Ceremony

Shalu Kataria of Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurgaon was declared the best
swimmer at CBSE North Zone-II swimming championship. The event was organized
from September 26-29 at C T Public School, Jalandhar. Shalu bagged five gold medals
in almost all events. In the category of boys (U-12), kunal Thakran bagged three gold
medals whereas Priyanka Thakran won two silver medals in the same age group. School

Annual Function
In an effort to showcase the talent and achievements of the students, Blue Bells Model
School, Sector-4, Gurgaon organized an annual function cum-prize distribution
ceremony ‘Monde d’ Amour on March 20th, 2010. Tina Dutta (film and television artist)
was the chief guest. B.D. Gulati, founder chairperson and Suman Gulati, Director, Blue
Bells Group of Schools, accorded her a warm welcome. The function began with paying
obeisance to Almighty with lighting of the ceremonial diya. To invoke the divine spirits,
students presented Ganesh Vandana. Students had a tete-tete with Tina Dutta. They
asked her about her shows ‘Uttaran’ and ‘Comedy Circus’ which she enjoyed a lot.
Thereafter, prizes were distributed for 100% attendance, best orator, best dancer, best
singer, athletics and computer wizard. The rhythmic extravaganza ‘Monde d’Amour
meaning ‘The World of Love’ showcased the power of love that transcends all barriers
and unites the entire universe added spark to the show. The scintillating ‘umbrella
dance’presented by pre-primary students stole the hearts of everyone. The annual
function was truly a wonderful effort with a mammoth 580 kids participating, making it a
gala event.

NCC girl cadet Suchita Banthia of Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurgaon won the
prestigious Sahara NCC scholarship. Competing with 60 girl cadets from across Haryana,
Suchita clinched the award and received a cheque worth Rs. 6,000 from Col Sudhir Garg,
Co 5 Haryana Battalion NCC Gurgaon, on February 13. School Principal N Bhatti and

GPSC Meeting
Blue Bells Model Sr. Sec School, Gurgaon, shone in the inter-school quiz competition organised by the Gurgaon Progressive Schools council at DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurgaon. Out of the 15 teams from prestigious school, only six teams were selected for the final round. Quizmasters of BBMS bagged the first position with 75 marks leaving behind OLF with 45 marks. in education for being the best school in NCR. The Indian achievers podium (a wing of
BPPL) gives the all-India excellence award in different sectors every year. The award
ceremony for the year 2008-2009 was held at Hotel Sheraton. It was given to Suman

Book Parade
To encourage and inculcate the habit of reading, an Inter House Book Parade
Competition was organized in Blue Bells Model school, Sector-4, Gurgaon for the
students of Primary Wing. The students of all the four houses presented various stories
like Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs etc as a part
of the competition. While Mother Teresa House won the first position, Tagore House and
Nehru House got the second and third positions respectively.

Founder’s Day Celebration
Blue Bells Model School celebrated its 29th Founder’s Day on November 10 with great
enthusiasm. The day began with a rally aiming at spreading awareness for conservation
of environment. The students walked, sporting posters and banners from Sector-4 to
Sector-10 Gurgaon, spreading awareness amongst the the residents. After the purposeful
rally, there were programmes at the school’s Janak Dulari Hall. The function began with
lamp lighting to seek the divine blessings of Almighty. An orchestra performance by

Grandparents Day Celebration
Blue Bells Model School celebrated Grandparents Day on October 3. The paternal/
maternal grandparents of the students were invited to celebrate the day along with the
staff and students of the school. Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools
graced the occasion as chief guest. A Rajasthani dance was presented by the students of
primary wing followed by a nostalgic poem recitation. The function concluded with a
speech by Anjali Nagpal.

Inter School Competition
Students of Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurgaon participated in an inter school
advertisement, craftwork and book mark competition and brought laurels. The event was
held at Meenakshi Public School, Gurgaon on September 15. Anushka Aggaarwal (V-C)
bagged the first position in Origami while Radhika Singla (V-C) stood third. In bookmark
competition, Harsh Kataria (IV-C) and Tanvi Jain (IV-D) bagged first and second
positions respectively. Senior wing in charge Arpita Acharya applauded the winners.

Table Tennis Champions
Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurgaon participated in the CBSE Cluster Table
Tennis Championship on October 26 held at DAV Multipurpose Public School Sector-
15, Sonepat. The Judge/Resource Person/Chief Guest was Pushkar Vohra (AEO Sports)
CBSE and other Officials from All India Table Tennis Federation. The championship
was organized under the rules of All India Table Tennis Federation. In all, 18 schools
of cluster XIV had participated in the championship. The competition was held in for
different age group. The categories for both boys and girls include under 14, under 16
and under 19 years of age. The participants in the Girls Under 14,16 and 19 years were
Sweta Lamba (X), Deepika Yadav (XII E), ShIVANI Jaiswal (XII E) and Pooja Yadav
(XII F). The school did exceedingly well by bagging the gold Medal as a team in the
Girls under 19 years category. Also, Sweta Lamba (U/19) won the gold medal as an
individual player in singles category. They have all qualified for CBSE National TT
Gmaes to be held at Nagpur.

Winning Laurels
Blue Bells Model School, Sector-4, Gurgaon won laurels at inter school debate, quiz,best
banner and best cheering team competition held on July 23 at KIIT College of Education
Bhondsi, Gurgaon. The school also bagged the overall trophy. Simran Kaur (XII) stood
first in English debate competition and pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 1500, whereas Udita
Makhija of (XI) was declared second in the Hindi debate and awarded a cash prize of Rs.
1000. Besides being placed in second position in quiz, the school lifted the best banner
and best cheering team awards. Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools
congratulated the winners for their achievements.
