The International Informatics Olympiad 2007 was conducted by Computer Literacy Foundation in September. 500 students from our school participated in the Olympiad. Following nine of our participants were selected for the II level Examination: Vishist Makkar, Tushar Yadav, Ashelesha Kumar, Varun Yadav, Muskan Rastogi, Sanya Godiyal, Nitin Yadav, Abhilash Yadav & Atina Malik. Other students who secured Top Olympiad Ranks were awarded a Parker Pen and Webcams. Each participant received a certificate of participation. Overall the school won 13 gold, 21 silver and 14 bronze medals. The school also won the Best Principal and Best Coordinator Awards. Our Teachers Sanjana, Shiveta, Sunita & Sarita received Certificates for Appreciation along with the Parker Pens.

The school participated in the Poster Making Contest organized by City Montessary School, Lucknow on the occasion of 2nd International Innovation Day. The day was celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Nine students were selected for their effective entries and the school was awarded a participation trophy for the same. Certificates were awarded to the following participants who received "A Grade" in the contest: Aakash, Akshay, Neha, Atina, Jasjyot.

IT Festive Zoom'07 - An Inter School IT Competition was organized between Blue Bells Model School and Blue Bells Public School. 40 students participated from both the schools. Paint Brush Competitions were held for classes III and IV and a PowerPoint Competition was held for class V. The participants were highly appreciated by the judges - Mr. Rajiv Khanna (IT Consultant) and Mrs. Anshuka Aneja (Co-ordinator (Computers), Blue Bells Group of Schools). Our students brought laurels to the school by winning the maximum number of prizes.

Techno Fest 2007 was organized by NIIT at SD Adarsh Vidhyalaya on 13th October. 15 prestigious schools of Gurgaon participated in the various competitions. Mrs. Asha (President, SD Adarsh Vidhyalaya) was the Chief Guest for the Competition.

The Results of the competitions:

Informatics Guru 2007 was organised by Computer Literacy Foundation earlier this year and the results were declared in October, 2007. The contest was open for Maths and Computer Science faculty. Our teachers Sanjana Arora, Sunita Yadav, Sarita Yadav, Neeta Jha, Ruby Das & Garima won consolation prizes in the contest.

Dainik Jagran and Matri Kalyan Munch organized an "On-the-Spot Painting Competition" at Jiwan Jyoti Sr. Sec. School, Sec-4, Gurgaon. Our school participated in the competition and won many prizes.

The Second CBSE Zonal / National Championship was held at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar from 13th to 17th Sep 2007. More than 110 students from Haryana, Punjab and J&K schools participated in the tournament. Our Students Nitesh Yadav, Shakshi and Shadeep gave excellent performances in the competition. Shakshi won the Bronze Medal at National Level.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRIZE WINNERS

The District child welfare council of Gurgaon organized an " On Spot Painting Competition" at Bal Bhawan on 21st August. Our participants brought many laurels to the school. Rishika Deswal of Class IV won the second Prize and Akansha of class IX bagged the third Prize.

Open State Taekwondo Championship was held at Geeta Bhawan on 4th and 5th August. All reputed schools and clubs participated in the Championship. Six students from Blue Bells Public School participated and brought laurels to the school by bagging prizes in different categories.

Blue Bells Public School in collaboration with IRSC organized the 1st IRSC Inter School Open Skating Championship on 28th & 29th July 2007. This was the first of its kind organized in the NCR region. The motto of the school is to provide value based education which not only includes providing extensive knowledge about academics but all spheres by amalgamating physical fitness & the latest sports activity. The championship was declared open by our honourable Director, Mrs. Suman Gulati on 28th July at 09:00 a.m. She said the words of wisdom to encourage & motivate the participating teams. The rules for the Championship were given by Mr. Vinod Kumar, President IRSC. The championship commenced with a demonstration race in the category of 4-6 years. There were races for kids level, juniors, sub-junior & seniors. The programme schedule for the races was amicably distributed over two days. After two days of rigourous racing in all categories the winners were declared.

The closing ceremony was witnessed by parents & coaches of the winning teams on 29th July. Prizes were given away by our honourable Director, Mrs. Suman Gulati. The winning trophy was bagged by Amity School, Sector-46 & runner up trophy was shared by Amity School, Sector-43 & Blue Bells Public School. The trophies were given by the Founder Chairperson of Blue Bells Group Of Schools, Mr. B.D. Gulati. The Director, Blue Bells Group Of Schools appreciated & applauded the efforts of the participating schools & their coaches for preparing the students for the Gen Next Sporting Adventures. President IRSC, Mr. Vinod Kumar conveyed his special thanks to Mrs. N. Bhatti, Headmistress, Blue Bells Public School & applauded the efforts of the faculty of the school for making this event a great success.

A number of Inter School Competitions were organized by DPS, Sector-45, Gurgaon on 28th July 2007. The theme for all competitions was Monsoon. A number of reputed schools of Gurgaon & NCR participated, with great zeal and enthusiasm in various events. It was a great exposure & learning experience for the tiny tots.

Our student Sakshi Kulhari of LKG bagged the Second prize in English Recitation & Harshit of UKG bagged the Second prize in Paint Brush Competition & brought laurels to the school.

A Patriotic Solo Song Competition was organized by Suruchi Sahitya Kala Parivar Samiti at Bal Bhavan Sec- 4 Gurgaon. 10 schools from all over Gurgaon participated in the competition.

Shivani Vashisht of Class V of our school bagged the Third Position in the juniors' category.

Nehru Bal Samiti in co-operation with the Russian Centre of Science And Culture and Indo- Russian Council Development organized a Folk Dance Competition at the Russian Cultural Centre. 21 schools from NCR participated in the event.

Our school bagged the first position in the juniors’ category.

A Mini Marathon race was held at T. D. S. on April 21, 2007. Over 10,000 students from Government and CBSE schools participated in the grand finale. Nitesh Yadav (Class V) of our school stood first in the race and three of our students won prestigious positions.

The IIT/PMT Olympiad was organised by EduSys in January, 2007. Deepak Rao of class X of our school, won the 10th rank all over India and was awarded study material worth Rs. 5000. Other participants who won ranks at the All India level are:

The following 8 students of our school have qualified the first level of IXth National Science Olympiad (NSO) and have now been invited for the next level: Taranjot Badwal (663 all India rank), Bhavesh Kumar, Nitin Yadav, Pranav Bhambi, Raghav Malik, Ankit Thareja, Nivedita Sharma and Bulbul.

The holistic development of the child is only possible if there is preservation, perpetuation & judicious control over the development of the child. Blue Bells aims at honing the inherent & latent talent of its pupil so that they are nurtured into bright & active individuals. The Annual Athletic Meet was organized on 23rd, 24th & 25th January 2007 and students from Class Nursery to Class IX participated with utmost enthusiasm. The entire school was vibrating in the mood of excitement & festivity. The wide variety of track events & fancy races were organized which not only tested the child’s athletic abilities but also his quickness & alertness. In the athletic events of Classes Nursery to Class II, Blue Bells Public School bagged the First Position.
