The International Informatics Olympiad 2007 was conducted by Computer Literacy Foundation in September. 500 students from our school participated in the Olympiad. Following nine of our participants were selected for the II level Examination: Vishist Makkar, Tushar Yadav, Ashelesha Kumar, Varun Yadav, Muskan Rastogi, Sanya Godiyal, Nitin Yadav, Abhilash Yadav & Atina Malik. Other students who secured Top Olympiad Ranks were awarded a Parker Pen and Webcams. Each participant received a certificate of participation. Overall the school won 13 gold, 21 silver and 14 bronze medals. The school also won the Best Principal and Best Coordinator Awards. Our Teachers Sanjana, Shiveta, Sunita & Sarita received Certificates for Appreciation along with the Parker Pens.

The school participated in the Poster Making Contest organized by City Montessary School, Lucknow on the occasion of 2nd International Innovation Day. The day was celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Nine students were selected for their effective entries and the school was awarded a participation trophy for the same. Certificates were awarded to the following participants who received "A Grade" in the contest: Aakash, Akshay, Neha, Atina, Jasjyot.

IT Festive Zoom'07 - An Inter School IT Competition was organized between Blue Bells Model School and Blue Bells Public School. 40 students participated from both the schools. Paint Brush Competitions were held for classes III and IV and a PowerPoint Competition was held for class V. The participants were highly appreciated by the judges - Mr. Rajiv Khanna (IT Consultant) and Mrs. Anshuka Aneja (Co-ordinator (Computers), Blue Bells Group of Schools). Our students brought laurels to the school by winning the maximum number of prizes.

Techno Fest 2007 was organized by NIIT at SD Adarsh Vidhyalaya on 13th October. 15 prestigious schools of Gurgaon participated in the various competitions. Mrs. Asha (President, SD Adarsh Vidhyalaya) was the Chief Guest for the Competition.

The Results of the competitions:

Informatics Guru 2007 was organised by Computer Literacy Foundation earlier this year and the results were declared in October, 2007. The contest was open for Maths and Computer Science faculty. Our teachers Sanjana Arora, Sunita Yadav, Sarita Yadav, Neeta Jha, Ruby Das & Garima won consolation prizes in the contest.

Dainik Jagran and Matri Kalyan Munch organized an "On-the-Spot Painting Competition" at Jiwan Jyoti Sr. Sec. School, Sec-4, Gurgaon. Our school participated in the competition and won many prizes.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRIZE WINNERS

The Second CBSE Zonal / National Championship was held at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar from 13th to 17th Sep 2007. More than 110 students from Haryana, Punjab and J&K schools participated in the tournament. Our Students Nitesh Yadav, Shakshi and Shadeep gave excellent performances in the competition. Shakshi won the Bronze Medal at National Level.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRIZE WINNERS

The District child welfare council of Gurgaon organized an " On Spot Painting Competition" at Bal Bhawan on 21st August. Our participants brought many laurels to the school. Rishika Deswal of Class IV won the second Prize and Akansha of class IX bagged the third Prize.

Open State Taekwondo Championship was held at Geeta Bhawan on 4th and 5th August. All reputed schools and clubs participated in the Championship. Six students from Blue Bells Public School participated and brought laurels to the school by bagging prizes in different categories.
